I Am Inside Cover

From Diane Stortz, author of Words To Dream On and many other children’s books comes a new Bible storybook that teaches children the names of God.

Have you ever studied the names of God? This is on my life “to do” list.  I’m excited to start I Am: 40 Reasons to Trust God with my Kindergartner as soon as we finish the Bible storybook we are currently reading.

I Am Inside 1

40 stories take the reader from Genesis through Revelation, with the focus being on the names of God.

…if we want to get to know God better, learning His names is a very good place to start.  That’s because each of God’s names in the Bible tells us something about who He is, what He is like, or what He does.

— From the Letter to Parents, written by the author.

I Am Inside 3

While the main goal of the storybook is to help children trust God through knowing Him, the overall story of the Bible and God’s plan of salvation is also incorporated into the stories.  Each study includes a prayer, a “What Does It Mean?” section, and a suggested to scripture to look up to “Learn More.”  I especially appreciate the section explaining the meaning.  Usually I can discuss the interpretation of a Bible story with my daughter to her satisfaction, but sometimes it is nice to have it written out, ready to read!  I also like the illustrations very much – they are not too “cutesy” but perfect for the 4 to 8 age range.
