Really Woolly Nighttime Lullabies ~ Book Review
We were happy to receive another Really Woolly book from Tommy Nelson this month – my 5-year-old and I enjoy the adorable little characters from illustrator Donna Chapman!
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post, but was given a free book to review. I am an affiliate of Amazon, and will receive a small commission if a link on this page is used to make a purchase.
Soothing Lullabies
Really Woolly Nighttime Lullabies by Bonnie Rickner Jensen is beautiful little padded board book, just the right size for children’s hands. We added this book to our evening bedtime ritual the day that we received it! (Right now we are also reading a selection from God’s Word For Me each night, which tells Bible stories using verses straight from scripture.)
My husband reads this to her every night, which makes it even more special (to me). The lullabies are soothing and sweet, but also truthful. Each lullaby first features a scripture verse, and after each one is a “sample” prayer to help kids get started praying. Sometimes my daughter doesn’t know what to say to God, and she is pleased to have this little prompt.
Little one with heart so sweet,
Loved so much from head to feet,
Look at what God’s given you –
Moon so white and sky so blue,
Stars that sparkle in the night,
Sun to give each day its light.
Really Woolly Nighttime Lullabies is just the right size for an Easter basket – the sweet little characters and color scheme are sure to please your preschooler. Mine loves it!
