Fun & Educational In Sevierville, Tennessee: RainForest Adventures Zoo
A Fun Indoor & Outdoor Zoo!
RainForest Adventures Zoo is a fun indoor/outdoor activity that is open year-round (except Christmas Day). “Featuring over 600 live animals, representing over 130 species, the RainForest Zoo is home to unique and beautiful creatures from the Rain Forests of the world.” The zoo also features an “Aussie Walkabout” which houses many different animals and birds from Australia. Visitors can view a kangaroo and have a chance to feed the baby goats and the sheep in the Walkabout, too.
“Our Education mission is to inspire students of all ages to learn and understand more about the natural world, care about it’s future, and ultimately take action in support of worldwide conservation programs.” – Bill Lucey, RainForest Adventures, Inc.
School Field Trips & Group Tours
The zoo’s Field Trip web page is geared toward public school student groups, but smaller groups are welcome, too, and contact information is given for small group bookings. The zoo is mostly indoors, so you can book your trip during cold weather months. (If your kids really want to feed the goats and the sheep, you may want to note that they are outside with the Emu and Kangaroo.) Visit their Booking Tips page for more information.
