Look, I’m Reading! Bible Storybook ~ Review

Happy New Year!  We are relaxing this morning because the powers that be say it is a “snow” day!  So far we just have a little sprinkling on our deck.  We’ll see what happens later this afternoon!

My daughter enjoys her new Look, I’m Reading! Bible Storybook so much it was a little difficult to stop her from reading it for a few moments so I could take some posed pictures.  She’s read quite a few pages in it, and likes that she can read it without help.

Over the last few years we have read several Bible story books to M, and now she is very proud that she can now read one to us. She also likes the fun rebus format; pictures are substituted for some of the words in the stories.  I’m not crazy about the illustrations, but my seven-year-old likes them just fine – she is very excited about this book!

There are 10 main Old Testament and 8 main New Testament Bible Stories.  Each main story is broken down into one-page mini-stories.  The book is designed so children can read along with you as you read to them (a great way to teach kids to read). Or, older children can read it themselves, with or without help, depending on their reading level.  Based on my seven-year-old daughter’s response, I highly recommend this storybook!
