Kiwi Crate Review

I have subscribed to Kiwi Crate on and off for one-and-a-half years now.  One of the nice features about a monthly subscription is the ability to “pause” it for a few months if you need to!  My daughter and I have created lots of fun science and craft projects using Kiwi Crates.  We are always excited when the green box arrives on our doorstep!

Last week we made the nature scavenger hunt box below (I saved it for her from last year).  This was one of my favorite projects!  M really enjoyed decorating the box and then going on a nature hunt.  Kiwi Crate’s science activities helped me discover that it isn’t too difficult to introduce a preschooler to science, and make it fun and interesting.

One of the most recent crates was a “mad scientist” theme.  We learned about balance, and also included in the box are test tubes and a test tube rack so we can experiment with various liquids!  I’m looking forward to experimenting – in the kitchen. (It looks like it could get messy.  I always say the bigger the mess, the more fun you had!)

Although I have lots of craft supplies in my stash, it’s always nice to have a project to pull out that is all ready to go – very few additional supplies are needed for each crate.  Another great feature is the activity book that is always included.  It contains a number of additional theme-related activities you and your kids can do together to extend the learning fun!
