My preschooler and I just had the pleasure of reviewing another delightful book by Julia Dweck: Humpfree: The Humpless Camel. The story and rhyme were as engaging as ever, and we loved the illustrations by Young-Min Yoon. M wanted to read it again immediately, and even at her young age found the “camel facts” at the end of the book interesting! (I learned a few things myself, too, such as there really is such a thing as a humpless camel!)

Humpfree is a fun, encouraging story about how it’s ok to be different, and to be yourself.  It is available as a digital book on Amazon for $3.99. Check out my review of Julia’s books Blucy: The Blue Cat and Mary Had A Sleepy Sheep, too! (If you don’t have a Kindle, you can read these on our computer like we do.)

Julia Dweck has a background in elementary education, and has written over 20 children’s books.  Two of her books have been on Amazon’s bestseller list: Pie-Rits: A Pirate Adventure and Zombie-Kids. Julia has worked with notable publishing houses such as Penguin Young Readers, and presented at the 2011 National Center for Family Literacy.  See more of her work on her web site, and follow Julia on Facebook and Goodreads.

Illustrator Young-Min Yoon has worked with several prestigious clients including children’s publishers.  Visit his web site YMIllustration.com to see more of his illustrations and caricatures.
